Golfing & Biking & Jibbing Oh My! Have you ever golfed, mountain biked and skied in the same day? How about the same weekend? Didn’t think so. Take this weekend to visit Mount Snow and you can do one or all of these things. Mountain biking opens for the summer season with a variety of new trails to tickle your fancy. All you downhillers be sure to check out trail 13 which features some new single track never before ridden on. For the endurance freak in you test our trail 7 which takes you over a variety of terrain from open ski trail to wooded single track and plays host to a scenic loop of the Carinthia snowmaking pond. Our biking headquarters is Mount Snow Sports located in the Grand Summit Hotel. Swing by for maps, tickets or to check out the new line of Jamis bikes. And don’t forget to register online for the Eastern States Cup Downhill Series taking place on June 5-6. Swing into action at the Mount Snow Golf Club. With amazing early season weather the course is in the best condition ever. Be sure to ask about the new design features taking place such as reshaped fairways and greens. And of course enjoy the smooth sailing of the newly paved first hole. On Saturday and Sunday night the only place to be is Fairways Restaurant for the Summer Splash Series. Enjoy live music and a raw bar so fresh you would think you’re at the shore. Last but certainly not least, Saturday is the 3rd Annual Peace Pipe Jam. This free event has become a staple of the freestyle scene and the only way to put your skis to snow for the last time this season. Gaitor and crew will be putting out 6 or so features for your jibbing pleasure. This is a free event at Carinthia featuring music, barbeque and an overall chill vibe. While enjoying yourself don’t forget the significance of Memorial Day weekend. There are many a brave men and women to honor, so take some time and appreciate what they have done for us.
